A note from Andrew

Welcome to Stay Partners

Trust is why you're in business together. Clarity is how you stay that way. You don't have to settle everything today — just give yourselves a good place to start.

Why I built this

I spent 15 years as a business lawyer watching good people start businesses together with unwritten assumptions and expectations. Some signed a generic operating agreement. Others signed nothing at all. Few could invest in a professional to walk them through the careful conversations behind a custom agreement.

That wasn't a lack of trust. Often, partners simply didn't know what to talk about. Money, time, decisions, and what happens when life changes can feel obvious — until you discover that each person pictured something different.

I built Stay Partners to make that guided conversation available to more people. I'd rather help partners build something than help tear it apart.

Start with one conversation

You may be starting a business with a friend, joining a family business, or revisiting an established partnership. You don't need to have all the answers before you begin.

Try this question: “What can each of us realistically contribute?” Let each person think about it before comparing expectations. A difference is something to discuss, not a failed test.

Make room to think privately

In Stay Partners, each partner has their own space to work through expectations. Private notes and imported drafts aren't automatically turned into shared agreements. Choose what to share, work through differences, and accept wording together.

An existing draft or email conversation can be a starting point. It isn't proof that everyone agreed, and importing it doesn't finalize your MOU.

A useful starting point for legal work

The MOU records the wording everyone accepts in plain English. It is not intended to be legally binding. It doesn't replace an LLC operating agreement, a partnership agreement, or advice about your situation.

When you need binding terms, bring your written expectations to a lawyer. If you're already dealing with a dispute, a buyout, or someone leaving, talk to a lawyer of your own.

Waiting for access? You can still start here

Subscribing to these emails doesn't grant app access. Access requests are reviewed separately. In the meantime, the guides below can help you start a conversation with your partners.

What is Stay Partners?

Stay Partners is a guided way for business partners to talk through expectations. Each partner answers privately, you compare, work through differences, and keep the wording you all accept in a shared MOU that's not intended to be legally binding.

How long does it take to get started?

A few minutes to set up a shared space and invite your partner. After that, each of you answers at your own pace, one question at a time. Most people start with one topic rather than everything at once.

Will my partner see my answers right away?

No. Your answers stay private until you choose to share them. Comparisons appear for a topic once every partner has finished it.

Is it free?

Stay Partners is free during early access.

Less guesswork. More shared understanding.

You don't need to know every question worth asking. Stay Partners helps each partner talk through expectations privately, one question at a time. Choose what to share, work through differences, and keep the wording everyone accepts in your MOU. It's not intended to be legally binding. Free during early access. For legal advice, a dispute, or an exit, talk to a lawyer of your own.
