Why this exists
Partnerships rarely fail over the thing people argue about. They fail over the thing nobody ever asked.
We've spent years around partnerships that went wrong, and the pattern almost never changes. Two people who genuinely trusted each other never wrote down what they each assumed. Years later, one of them wants to bring in a spouse, or stop working weekends, or take money out — and it turns out they were never agreed in the first place. By then it's expensive, and it's personal.
The usual advice is to get an agreement drafted. That's good advice, and most people don't take it, because it costs thousands of dollars before anyone knows whether the business is real. So they do nothing, which is the worst of the options.
staypartners.io is the step in between. It asks you both the questions a good partnership conversation would cover, keeps you from anchoring on each other's answers, shows you where you actually stand, and helps you write down one answer you both accept. The value is the shared understanding. If you later want a lawyer to paper it properly, you'll walk in knowing what you want — which makes that a much shorter and cheaper conversation.
What this is not
It is not a law firm, it does not give legal advice, and using it does not create an attorney–client relationship. It doesn't take sides, and it isn't built for disputes or exits — those need a lawyer of your own.
Tell us how it goes
This is early, and it's being shaped by the people using it. There's a "Give feedback" link on every page once you're signed in — say what's confusing, what's missing, and what you'd never use. We read all of it.
